We often do not even imagine how serious such an influence can be. We sometimes let stressful situations, tension, anxiety, depression, hustle, and other negative feelings take over us.

The union of soul and body is a much stronger connection than we think. Our thoughts and emotions stimulate the release of certain chemicals that affect our physical and emotional health.

For example, serotonin and dopamine are two chemicals that are produced by our brain when we feel happy or euphoric. A similar process occurs with negative emotions. Instead of having a good effect on the body, they cause pain and certain diseases that prevent us from experiencing the joy of life.

The brain can store crucial information related to our behavior and attitude toward certain situations. Many experts agree that we are all capable and can see two sides of every situation: the good and the bad. It is because of this that we are responsible for what meaning – positive or negative – we give to such moments, and for how we perceive such situations.

How do emotions affect the body?

Our emotional states can lead to physical ailments. And the physical condition, in turn, can tell us that we are going through a difficult time in which negative thoughts and emotions have taken control.

For example:

Chronic neck pain may indicate that perhaps you should pay attention to your emotions or even try to reevaluate certain circumstances that you have so far perceived only from the negative side.

Unexplained pain in the hips can be a sign of fear, and you are unable to make important decisions.

Pain in the upper back can be associated with some kind of grief.

Pain in the middle part of the back is associated with the inability to let go and forget the past.

Pain in the lower back is associated with worries about financial troubles.

Painful sensations in the knees can indicate fear, pride, and lack of control over selfishness.

When we experience a situation that makes us angry, a biochemical reaction occurs in the body. It increases adrenaline, which in turn makes us relive the stressful situation that caused it, over and over again.

Feelings of frustration can greatly affect our energy and motivation. Sadness causes exhaustion, significant fatigue, and low willpower.

How to deal with the negative thoughts and feelings?

It is clear that everyone has many moments of happiness in life, but sometimes it is difficult times that test our ability to control our emotions. To cope with negative thoughts and feelings, it is important to learn to think positively, no matter how difficult or overwhelming things may seem.

Every day when you wake up, it is important to prepare your body and mind for the new day and the challenges it brings. This is necessary so that you can stay healthy and live happily.

Add some positivity

Our mind is surprisingly powerful and can easily handle many tasks at once. So, it is very important to provide him with a good dose of positivity and try to see the bright side of things. Even if you know that you are faced with the task of overcoming a relatively difficult situation.

When negative thoughts and emotions dominate our lives, they will definitely affect our health. Therefore, it is very important to find a few minutes to think and consider whether the matter is really worth the time and energy spent, let alone negative emotions.

Most likely, after such reflections, instead of complaining about fate and letting your emotions rule you, you will want to make changes in your behavior. Start looking for such a solution to the problem so that its negativity does not reduce the quality of your life.

It has been scientifically proven that positivity and good emotions, such as joy and happiness, release hormones responsible for strengthening the immune system. In addition, it was found that negative emotions have the opposite effect and weaken the immune system. They make your body more prone to various diseases.

So, let’s keep in mind that good thoughts and emotions, positive thinking, and accepting problems with optimism are a matter of choice for each person. A good dose of positivity is worth the effort because it is a positivity that improves your physical and emotional health.

Did you know that there are ways to regulate cholesterol naturally? You do not have to take a lot of medication or worry about complications.

What is cholesterol?

Before giving any advice on how to regulate cholesterol, we want to tell you what it is. This organic compound is produced by the liver. Due to the normal level of cholesterol, the cells of the body receive the amount of fat they need for proper functioning.

Problems arise when a person eats low-quality fats because then cholesterol is also of poor quality. Cells do not receive normal nutrition.

To help you prevent this, we’ll look at ways to regulate your cholesterol. Try to follow these guidelines and your health will definitely improve.

1. Consume more monounsaturated fats

Some people think that because of high cholesterol they need to stop eating all types of fats. But this is not the case, because for normal functioning the body needs proper nutrition. Instead, you should give up harmful fats and consume only useful ones.

Monounsaturated fats increase the level of HDL cholesterol that everyone should get in high amounts.

Foods that contain this type of fat include olive oil, nuts, olives, coconut oil, almonds, eggs, and avocados.

Try to include one of these foods in every meal (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). When you go to the store for groceries, do not spare money and make a choice in favor of quality. Only quality food will help you to restore health and maintain it in the future.

Be sure to watch the portions, because it is very easy to overdo the calories. Never mix several foods with fat content, if you have not previously calculated the caloric content of the dish. For example, if you add nuts to a salad, do not season it with oil. It is better to add vinegar or a similar dressing.

2. Consume more polyunsaturated fats, especially omega-3

Another dietary advice to help lower cholesterol is to eat more Omega 3. Like monounsaturated fats, Omega 3 lowers bad cholesterol.

In one study, researchers found that people who replaced other fats with Omega 3 fats have:

decreasing levels of bad cholesterol;

decreasing risk of developing type 2 diabetes.

In this case, we recommend eating more salmon, tuna, nuts, and shrimp.

To provide your body with enough Omega 3, eat a portion of fish twice a week. Although salmon is especially known for its Omega 3 fatty acids, it can be replaced with other fish.

3. Avoid trans fats

The following dietary recommendation for lowering cholesterol concerns trans fats. They are usually found in foods that have undergone careful processing, such as margarine, cakes, and store-bought pastries.

Trans fats are often used in the food industry because they can withstand high temperatures. They also give products a better texture than other types of fats.

Despite these benefits, trans fats harm heart health and increase cholesterol levels.

4. Consume plenty of soluble fiber

Soluble fiber is mainly found in vegetables. It completely dissolves during digestion and does not interfere with the body. Soluble fiber activates the digestive tract and maintains it in good condition.

In addition, it is an important element for the proper reproduction of beneficial intestinal bacteria (probiotics). When the body has a normal balance of probiotics, the level of bad cholesterol is significantly reduced.

That is why it is important to eat a lot of fiber every day to regulate cholesterol levels. It is found in green vegetables, legumes, lentils, fruits, oatmeal, and wheat.

Remember that for maximum results you need to act consistently and follow a proper diet for a long time.

Nevertheless, you and I still rely on our intellect, not artificial, and we cannot do without art to memorize.

1. Use the “Method of loci”
Those same “palaces of reason”, sung by the TV series “Sherlock”, were invented in the first century BC. The method consists in the fact that a person creates in his thoughts a room in which he places objects that it is important for him not to forget. The stranger and grotesque things look, the better they tend to be deposited in the mind. This method is also called “mental walk”, and thanks to him you can remember a huge amount of information. It’s all about visualization, which helps memory work better.

2. Go to bed
Immediately after receiving the new information, whether reading the book, preparing for the exam or for an important meeting, try to take a nap. According to the American researcher Jessica Payne, sleep contributes to strengthening the connection of neurons when memorizing important facts. These memories should be brighter and more durable than others. But the most important factor is to memorize the facts on the eve of sleep, otherwise it will not work.

3. Scale information
A person’s operational memory is limited — on average, according to statistics, he is able to memorize from four to seven pieces of information simultaneously. Check for yourself: when you pronounce a phone or a combination for a card, you are not able to remember more than a few numbers. The mnemonic technology of chunking (chunking – scaling, integration, division into blocks) encourages a person to divide information into chunks, each of which receives a certain association or symbol. Thus, each of the stored elements acquires additional properties that you can not forget.

4. Eat by the mind
Red meat, butter, cheese, sweets and fried will never make you a mnemonic master, unlike vegetables, berries, nuts, beans, cereals, fish, game, olive oil and even wine. It’s all about energy value: the more food contains beneficial elements, namely omega-3, antioxidants and fiber, the better the brain works. A healthy diet helps to improve brain activity by 35%.

5. Move More
Of course, reading such advice in our journal is like not reading anything. And nevertheless: cardio load promotes blood circulation, including for the brain, which makes it possible to memorize information better. Some studies even show that a 4-hour load in the form of running or cycling helps memory if the workout takes place immediately after receiving new information (as is the case with sleep). Not the fact that such a grueling run will cheer you up, but no one said that it is easy to memorize.

A very long time preparing for everything that you are going to do?

However, for an average adult, perfectionism can become a stressful and counterproductive load. Do you realize this? Or have you already experienced yourself? How can we get rid of this or at least learn how to cope with this quality?

• Be able to refuse in time. Remember that failure or suspension is not always a sign of failure, but rather a testament to your maturity and ability to rationally allocate scarce resources of time and energy. Wise choice!

• Make a list of your worries. Calm your nerves, writing down the worst fears on paper. In a month you will probably laugh at what will basically prove to be harmless memories. In other words, do not be killed because of trivialities.

• Get rid of the feeling of doom and imminence of the bad. Work, personal problems, bills – these annoying factors will always be with you. Do not get hung up on them. Instead of fixing what you need to do – just do it!

• Do not suffer because of every decision you make. The daily decisions and risks either work perfectly and take you to a new level, or do not work and in this case serve you as an important life lesson.

• Do not let perfectionism steal your happiness. Striving for excellence in everything really deprives you of a sense of happiness. As a result, there is a circular cycle: perfectionism – procrastination – analytical paralysis. Places for happiness in this cycle have never been, there has not been and never will be.

• You do not need external approval. Do not require feedback and confirmation from external sources. You did your best at your own expense and resources, did not you? So you have done well and can move on. Learn to be content with what you have achieved.

• Change the way you think. We are our own worst enemies. Remember this! Negative thoughts lead to … even more negative thoughts.

• Just cool down and calm down! Any failure is always a temporary occurrence. These things do not characterize you or your life. Draw conclusions and continue to move.

• Overactive mind is your trouble! The mind of a perfectionist does not know rest, causing overload and exhaustion. Try a daily five-minute meditation. This will allow your gray matter to calm down and take a break. Slow and deep breathing can sometimes perform miracles.

• Gratitude is important. Start each day with a short list of 5 things, for which you are grateful. The advantages of such a listing are that you will see in writing all that you already have in your life, and, perhaps, will cease to worry because of trifles.

• Find a balance. “Well done” is better than “perfect, but never completed”.

• Give up your incredibly high standards. Be kind to yourself. Do not worry about even the smallest mistake.

• Give yourself permission to make a mistake. It’s absolutely not scary. Constantly remind your mind of the perfectionist: “What is the worst thing that can happen in this particular case?” Most likely, everything is not so bad as you think!
