Why does it seem like the time is going faster? It seems that the years fly faster and faster. This phenomenon has an answer.

The perception of time changes with age. You might have noticed that the older you get, the faster time flies. If in school years summer is a small life, now it has flown by like one day.

Why is this happening?

As early as the 19th century, psychologists came to the conclusion that this feeling is associated with an internal comparison. They argued that we internally compare the usual course of time with the length of our lives.

That is, the longer we live, the faster for us to fly days. However, this is true by half. Today, psychologists associate this phenomenon with the emotional and informational richness of our life.

The more we know, the more we lived, the more predictable are people’s actions and current events. We know what will happen next. Our life becomes a peculiar habit, postponed and automated mechanism. And when in life there is nothing predictable, it also seems that time flies faster.

Unfortunately, there is no clear answer as to how this works, but there are some tips that will help “stop the time”.

“To prolong life” will help new impressions, short-term rejection of routine and everyday meditations that will lead you into a state of tranquility and balance. And then it will seem to you that the world is moving more slowly, because you yourself “stop.”
